AUSTIN, TEXAS (September 6, 2018) – Circuit of The Americas (COTA) announced today that, in addition to headlining concerts by international superstars Bruno Mars (October 20) and Britney Spears (October 21), the American Soundtrack will showcase more than 20 Texas acts, spanning musical genres from country to hip hop, and soul to indie folk. These newly added performances are set to take place on multiple stages throughout the COTA grounds during Austin’s Formula 1 USGP weekend. The showcase serves as a snapshot of the richly diverse musical talent from around the Lone Star State and speaks to Austin’s commitment to its status as the “Live Music Capital of the World.”

“We’re so fortunate to live in a city with so many talented musicians,” said Austin360 Amphitheater General Manager Glynn Wedgewood. “We simply can’t wait for our guests from all over the world to get a taste of Austin’s music at this year’s American Soundtrack!”

Featured performers include the prolific 16-year-old rapper love-sadKiD. Hailing from Irving, Texas, love-sadKiD is a lovestoned lyricist and a poet with a microphone. Austin-based singer, songwriter and guitarist Erika Wennerstrom (of Heartless Bastards), receiving praise from Rolling Stone, Time and New York Times, joins the weekend along with local blues band Nakia & the Blues Drifters. The Drifters have shared stages with B.B. King, Willie Nelson and Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings. Jakubi, the Australian quintet, will keep the party going with a mixed vibe of pop, R&B, hip-hop, rock and soul music along with Southeast Texas country duo Mayeux and Broussard.
