Formula Sun GP Racing Open to the Public July 8

Solar powered racing returns to Circuit of The Americas as the 2017 Formula Sun Grand Prix visits one of America’s greenest cities on Saturday, July 8 from 8 AM to 5 PM. Eighteen college and university teams from the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico will compete in solar powered electric vehicles that they designed and built. This unique engineering competition is powered entirely by the sun and based on innovation, speed, and endurance. The paddock and garages will be open to the public and guests can enjoys exhibits and activities, including a children’s solar model car building workshop.

PARKING

Guests may park for free in the paddock. Please enter from the security station on COTA Blvd.

CONCESSIONS

The COTA Café in the Media Center will be open for lunch from 10 AM to 2 PM. Additional concessions will be available in the paddock.
